Vietnam Animal Feed Market on July 13, 2026: Rice and By-product Prices Edge Higher

Vietnam animal feed market overview

Vietnam’s animal feed ingredient market recorded modestly mixed movements on July 13, 2026. Imported corn, soybean meal, rice bran, feed wheat and DDGS prices remained largely unchanged.

The most notable increases were seen in rice and agricultural by-products. Grade 3–4 broken rice, grade 2 broken rice and grade 1 broken rice increased by VND 50 per kilogram, while IR 504 brown rice rose by VND 100 per kilogram.

Palm kernel meal at Long An also increased by VND 100 per kilogram. Meanwhile, the USD/VND and CNY/VND exchange rates edged lower.

Imported corn prices remain stable

South American and South African corn at Cai Lan for July 2026 delivery was quoted at VND 6,950 per kilogram.

August and September contracts remained at VND 7,000 per kilogram, while October and November delivery was priced at VND 7,100 per kilogram.

At Vung Tau, imported corn prices ranged from VND 6,900 to VND 7,250 per kilogram, depending on the delivery period.

Pakistan corn for September 2026 delivery at Cai Lan and Hai Phong remained unchanged at VND 7,000 per kilogram.

Soybean meal prices maintain a stable range

U.S. soybean meal at Hai Phong for July 2026 delivery was quoted at VND 10,850 per kilogram.

South American soybean meal at Cai Lan ranged between VND 10,850 and VND 11,200 per kilogram, depending on the contract month.

At Vung Tau, soybean meal prices remained within a range of VND 10,850–11,100 per kilogram.

Rice and agricultural by-products move higher

Grade 3–4 broken rice increased by VND 50 to VND 7,900 per kilogram. Grade 2 broken rice rose to VND 8,000 per kilogram, while grade 1 broken rice reached VND 8,050 per kilogram.

IR 504 brown rice recorded a stronger increase of VND 100, reaching VND 9,000 per kilogram.

Rice bran prices remained largely unchanged, with dry rice bran trading around VND 8,000–8,080 per kilogram and wet rice bran at VND 7,700–7,750 per kilogram.

Feed wheat, cassava chips and DDGS remain unchanged

Cassava chips sold from Son La warehouses remained at VND 5,600 per kilogram.

Feed wheat at Cai Lan for July 2026 delivery was quoted at VND 7,100 per kilogram, while U.S. corn DDGS at Hai Phong and Cat Lai remained at VND 7,450 per kilogram.

Palm kernel meal increases

Indonesian and Malaysian palm kernel meal at Long An increased by VND 100 to VND 5,100 per kilogram.

At Hai Phong, high-fat palm kernel meal remained at VND 5,200 per kilogram, while the low-fat product was quoted at VND 4,600 per kilogram.

Exchange rates edge lower

Vietcombank’s U.S. dollar selling rate declined by VND 10 to VND 26,460 per USD.

The Chinese yuan selling rate fell by VND 1 to VND 3,939 per CNY.

Corn traded in Yunnan, China, remained at CNY 2,450 per tonne, equivalent to approximately VND 9,335 per kilogram.

Market outlook

Vietnam’s animal feed ingredient market is expected to remain broadly stable in the short term, with modest movements between different commodity groups.

Corn and soybean meal prices may maintain their current levels, while rice and agricultural by-products could edge higher if domestic demand improves.

Feed manufacturers and importers should continue monitoring international commodity prices, exchange rates and logistics costs.
