Vietnam Animal Feed Market on July 10, 2026: Ingredient Prices Remain Largely Stable

Vietnam animal feed market overview

Vietnam’s animal feed ingredient market recorded limited price movements on July 10, 2026. Imported corn, rice bran, feed wheat and most agricultural by-products remained unchanged from the previous day.

The most notable movements were a VND 50 per kilogram decline in South American soybean meal at Cai Lan for October and November 2026 delivery, while selected broken rice products in the Mekong Delta increased by VND 50 per kilogram.

Slight increases in the USD/VND and CNY/VND exchange rates may also affect imported feed ingredient costs in the coming period.

Imported corn prices remain unchanged

South American and South African corn at Cai Lan for July 2026 delivery was quoted at VND 6,900 per kilogram. August and September contracts stood at VND 7,000 per kilogram, while October and November delivery was priced at VND 7,100 per kilogram.

At Vung Tau, imported corn prices ranged from VND 6,900 to VND 7,150 per kilogram, depending on the delivery period.

Pakistan corn for September 2026 delivery at Cai Lan and Hai Phong remained unchanged at VND 7,000 per kilogram.

Soybean meal records a slight decline

U.S. soybean meal in containers at Hai Phong for July 2026 delivery remained at VND 10,900 per kilogram.

South American soybean meal at Cai Lan was quoted between VND 10,850 and VND 11,150 per kilogram, depending on the delivery month.

The October and November 2026 contracts declined by VND 50 per kilogram to VND 10,950 per kilogram, while most other contracts remained stable.

Rice bran and broken rice show mixed movements

Dry rice bran prices generally ranged from VND 7,900 to VND 8,100 per kilogram, while wet rice bran was quoted at around VND 7,600–7,800 per kilogram.

Grade 3–4 broken rice increased by VND 50 per kilogram to VND 7,850 per kilogram. Grade 2 broken rice also rose by VND 50 per kilogram, reaching VND 7,950 per kilogram.

Rice material prices in the Mekong Delta remained under slight pressure due to weak milling and export demand.

Feed wheat, cassava chips and DDGS

Cassava chips sold from Son La warehouses remained at VND 5,600 per kilogram, while cassava purchases in Tay Ninh were quoted at VND 5,800 per kilogram.

Feed wheat at Cai Lan for July 2026 delivery remained at VND 7,100 per kilogram.

U.S. corn DDGS at Cat Lai for July and August 2026 delivery declined by VND 50 per kilogram to VND 7,450 per kilogram.

Exchange rates edge higher

Vietcombank’s selling rate for the U.S. dollar increased by VND 3 to VND 26,474 per USD on the morning of July 10, 2026.

The Chinese yuan selling rate rose by VND 5 to VND 3,932 per CNY.

Corn traded in Yunnan, China, was quoted at CNY 2,450 per tonne, equivalent to approximately VND 9,335 per kilogram.

Market outlook

Vietnam’s animal feed ingredient prices are expected to remain broadly stable in the short term, with modest differences between commodities, delivery locations and contract periods.

Imported corn prices may continue to move sideways if global supply and freight costs remain stable. Soybean meal prices could be more volatile due to changes in international futures and domestic purchasing demand.

Importers should closely monitor exchange rates and logistics costs, as these factors may directly affect feed ingredient prices in Vietnam.H-IMEX Image
